Ovi Browser for Series40 based on Novarra technology

Nokia’s aquisition of Novarra is an example of a successful acquisition: the acquired technological asset soon surfaces as a new product in the new parent company’s portfolio. In this case, beta of Ovi Browser for Series40 devices came out after reasonable 5 months after Nokia got their hands on Novarra’s browser technology.

I have a feeling that it has not always been like that with Nokia. I’m tempted to find out more about Nokia’s past acquisitions.
