MSI Cubi 2 Plus specs: upgradable mini PC

MSI Cubi 2 Plus specs. MSI has churned out Cubi 2 Plus today and it is one of the easiest mini desktop computers that can be upgraded that easily. It measures  6.1 x 5.8 x 2.3 inches and packs a mini STX 5×5 socketed motherboard. You can go for the Intel Core i3, i5 or an i7 processor and up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM. There are two memory slots.

MSI Cubi 2 Plus spec sheet also includes support for M.2 SATA SSD and a 2.5 inch hard disk drive and SSD drive. We always suggest going for laptops with SSD drive as they improve user experience so much. This also applies to desktop as they make performance so much better.

The company will offer two models of MSI Cubi 2 Plus with one having 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 and second model will have just 802.11n wireless LAN. Port selection includes HDMI, DisplayPort, 2x USB 3.1, Ethernet, 3x USB 3.1 type-C, 3x USB 2.0, headset, SD card reader and another USB 2.0 port with super charger capability.

If they can make a model with HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2, they will be very popular with the 4K HTPC crowd. Hopefully they sell a barebones model. Perhaps with only a CPU included (seeing how there isn’t much choice anyways). I would also love to see a model that supports 3.5″ drives. I hate being limited to 2.5″ drives. I would love to have 4tb in a mini PC without having to get an SSD.
