If you are a heavy chrome user, you might see a pop saying that “Chrome is draining your battery faster. Switch to Microsoft Edge for up to 36% more browsing time.” This screenshot was shared by application developer Rudy Huyn.
Microsoft is after Chrome and has been widely posting public myriad stats and figures on how the Chrome web browser destroys battery life runtimes. This is true and valid fact and Microsoft is clearly within its right about advising its users about battery draining applications.
Who knows what else in the tunnel. We might see the company warning users on using iTunes as well. Hopefully, Microsoft will be more clear about this and would not force users to use Microsoft Edge and its own services in coming months.
