While a lot of people are angry about Microsoft’s decision on limiting the free storage on Onedrive, it shall be noted that it is still one of the cheapest if you are into storing 1TB of your data online. Office 365 gives you 1TB Onedrive storage free which you can use for storing anything.

However, a lot of people are now questioning Microsoft’s principles and trust. Some are saying there could be more restrictions in the tunnel and the Redmond giant could impose more of them by year’s end. For instance, they could very well decide that free 365 is also being abused and then limit it.

Currently, Microsoft is offering a refund to all paid users who decide not to continue using the service and a free paid subscription to existing free users.

Keep in mind this the risk you take for using any service. Google too has created and axed dozens of services in past couple years, Google Reader being the most popular one.
