Windows 10 mobile hack: How to Change System Font

An XDA user has posted instructions on how to change the system font. Right now, there are three fonts to choose from: Buxton Sketch or Comic Sans or Oksana. The hacker cautions users not to use other fonts without being edited as it puts your windows phone in infinite loop and you will have no option but to use recovery software to recover your Lumia device.

Here is how you do it. First, make sure you have interop unlocked your Windows 10 Mobile device and have obtained full file system access. You also need to have a registry editor like customPFD onboard as this hack requires you to do some registry edits.

1. Connect the windows phone to the PC and navigate to C: \ This PC \ Windows Phone \ Phone \ Windows \ Fonts and paste the segoeui3.ttf source (1st, 2nd, 3rd fonts).
2. Edit these records using registry editor.

KEY = Segoe UI (TrueType) = segoeui3.ttf
KEY = Segoe UI Black (TrueType) = segoeui3.ttf
KEY = Segoe UI Bold (TrueType) = segoeui3.ttf
KEY = Segoe UI Light (TrueType) = segoeui3.ttf
KEY = Segoe UI Semibold (TrueType) = segoeui3.ttf
KEY = Segoe UI Semilight (TrueType) = segoeui3.ttf

3. Restart your windows phone to see the result.
